Online Schools in Washington - Washington is a state rich in historical culture. Its roots trace a winding line through Native American ancestry, European settlement, and eventual statehood in 1889—and not surprisingly, each era has left its unique marks that continue to resonate across the area today. More than half of the state’s population lives in the Seattle metropolitan area, and it boasts strong software and manufacturing business markets propelled by giants like Microsoft, Boeing, Nintendo, and Expedia. While home to many major research universities and private colleges, online schools in Washington are now offering new avenues for self-directed learning.
